Silence: - a Shhhh Exhibition and Meditation 24 February 2019

  • 35 Chapel Walk Gallery 35 Chapel Walk Sheffield, England, S1 2PD United Kingdom (map)

Silence will be the first ever Shhh Exhibition Day taking place on Sunday 24 February 2019.

Each year, Space to Breathe seeks to create a focus on the importance and value of Silence. Our Silence Challenge has been a regular feature of this. On 24th we’ll be hiring the Gallery at 35 Chapel Walk in Central Sheffield and creating a walk-in gallery space on the theme of Silence.

Expect art, creative installations and a number of activities that you can interact with. Expect ambient music, a chilled vibe and some space to reflect and meditate.

The gallery space will be open from 11am to 9pm so you can drop in for five minutes or stay for an hour and you can come anytime you like.

As part of the day they’ll be a closing meditation at 7.30pm drawing together the thoughts and art from the day and offering the chance to spend a longer time in silence.

Entrance is free.

We’d love to see you come along.

How can we find silence? How it is helpful to us? This Shhhh Gallery day will give space to explore the quiet.

Shhhh... offers space to contemplate and meditate, to reflect and to pray. This evening will be inclusive to everyone and be particularly relevant for people interested in spirituality but won’t feel religious in language or tone. Expect some art installations, poetry and prose, ambient music, visuals and creative ways to engage with your spiritual side.
