SPACE TO BREATHE services for sps patients

The following resources and links are to facilitate our partnership with Sheffield Psychology Services (SPS) to offer practical support, signposting to services, emotional stabilisation & mindfulness to individuals who are working with the service.

This service is for individuals who are 18+, currently an SPS patient and fit with the referral criteria. These services are aimed to provide:

  • Practical support e.g. bills, food banks, shopping, online access etc

  • Support accessing services where there are multiple challenges being faced e.g. benefits, access to social services, housing advice

  • Support to stabilise life e.g. emotional stabilisation, stress & anxiety relief, attending daily appointments, managing tasks, getting unstuck, diet and movement

  • Mindfulness support where we provide additional or ongoing support for those who’ve access SPS Mindfulness Groups and Services.

We believe these services will be particularly beneficial when an individual is facing a lot of external challenges outside the remit of their SPS sessions. Similarly where there is concern at how an individual might handle the conclusion of their support (discharge) or how prepared they might be for an intervention in the first place, these services would be of benefit.

Full service details and referral criteria have been sent to the team but are available here.
