If you're going to find Christmas a challenge,
If you find you remember people at this time of year
If winter leaves you feeling a little low
This event is for you.
Mental Health charities suggest Christmas is a time of year when a lot of us struggle with our wellbeing. MIND (mind.org.uk, 2015 report) made a significant link between the health challenges linked to stress and Christmas.
Coping with Christmas is a creative wellbeing session being held at the Art Space at Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre. The Art Space is under First Point and the Library which is situated at the bus station at Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre. If you look up the Milestone pub at Crystal Peaks I park in the Crystal Peaks car park close to there (you can't park in the actual pub car park), and walk round the outside of the main building to the bus station and enter the library building from there.
There’s no need to book and no charge. Anyone who wants to can attend.
Expect wellbeing tools & ideas, creative arts and group activities to help your thinking. In particular we’ll explore:
how we care for ourselves, enable ourselves to be healthy, how we handle life etc
why winter months can be tricky for our wellbeing
how to ground and settle ourselves in tough times
simple Christmas strengthening ideas
how to think healthily about New Year
We’d love to see as many of you as possible attend. You can just turn up but if you want to book in you can use the link below or ring the PCN Helpline 0114 2510300.
You can also use this form to say you’re coming use or ask any questions.
