We are delighted to be working with Sheffield Flourish and Sheffield Mind to run a project designed to provide wellbeing and practical support to Carers across Sheffield.
If you are a Carer for someone struggling with their mental health, over the age of 18 and need of support you can access:
Crisis Support from Sheffield Flourish. Flourish have a Carers support worker on local wards specifically there to help you if you’re caring for someone going through a mental health crisis.
Practical support from Sheffield Mind. Mind can offer you practical information, support, help with things caring assessments or respite and so much more.
Wellbeing support through Space to Breathe. Our team are here to offer you one to one support, resources and techniques and we aim to start a group really soon too. You can also access our Carers Wellbeing Pack in digital form.
If any of that support sounds helpful you can self-refer today. Organisations can also refer people who need help and assistance. Just use the button below.
You can find lots more on our Carers pages of this website including resources, support, previous posts and information on the project and how to get help. Just use the content link below or click here.
We are aware that this project specifically is there for you if you’re caring for someone with mental health challenges. However, if you caring responsibilities are for someone struggling with non-mental health related challenges do still feel free to get in touch and we’ll try to help you as best we can. If you’re under 18 we want to recommend the work of Sheffield Young Carers who we are huge supporters and admirers of. Watch this space for more developments in supporting Young Carers.
