The Future Fund: Week One Update

The Future Fund – Our First Week Update

Last week we officially launched The Future Fund, our new crowdfunding campaign marking ten years of Space to Breathe as a social enterprise.

The campaign aims to raise £20,000 towards the future of accessible wellbeing support in our communities — helping us create a permanent wellbeing space, reach more people who need support and grow the impact of our work in the years ahead.

Since launching on Monday, we have already received £1,505 in donations alongside £1,165 in pledged support, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the campaign or encouraged others to get involved.

We know £20,000 is a significant target, but we also believe in the power of community. Every donation, whether large or small, helps move the campaign forward and reminds us how many people believe in the importance of accessible emotional wellbeing support.

Over the last ten years, Space to Breathe has supported people facing anxiety, grief, isolation and emotional overwhelm through counselling, wellbeing groups, retreats, training and community support. Increasingly, we are hearing from people who feel they have nowhere else to turn, and we know the demand for compassionate, accessible support continues to grow.

The Future Fund is about responding to that need and building sustainably for the future.

We have also been incredibly encouraged recently to be recognised nationally through inclusion in both the NatWest SE100 Index and the NatWest Pioneers 100 list for 2026. These recognitions celebrate organisations creating positive social impact and innovation, and it has been encouraging to see the work of our team and wider community acknowledged in this way.

As the campaign continues, we would love your help in sharing The Future Fund with friends, workplaces, organisations and communities who may want to support our work.
