OUR 2025 CAMPAIGN:
2025 FOR THE 25%
One of the marker moments I have in my time at Space to Breathe was when I first read the statistic that one in four of us will experience a mental health challenge every year **. Think of the rooms you’ll sit in today and the difference spaces you’ll occupy - one in four people around you will be struggling today.
For our 2025 Campaign we want to focus on these 25% and three aspects of our work which feel more crucial every year.
We want to raise funds for:
Work to support those who don’t get access to the help they need. This could be because of complex life challenges, this could be for cultural or economic boundaries or it could be that they’ve just not found help in their own emotional language. It’s estimated 75% of people with mental health challenges receive no formal treatment at all. Each year Space to Breathe spend time providing support, time and resources to help people who find they aren’t able to get help.
Support individuals to rebuild and recover. This is often the hardest challenge - how do I build back my life? Maybe you’ve had to give up work. Maybe confidence and social connections have been lost. Maybe your experience necessitates a life change but it’s not easy to make it happen. We’ve been piloting programmes to help people rebuild and recover and we’d like to raise funds to build that work.
Make tools and techniques available to people so they can access support before things get worse. We meet many people who ask for help after they’ve been struggling for a while - but we know preventative work enables people to address challenges early on & often stop things getting more serious. This can mean life can be easier to rebuild, vital services aren’t further called upon and people are able to rebuild rather than drop into a spiral of mental health challenges. This work is crucial and a key part of Space to Breathe’s ongoing work. We want to give away free wellbeing packs, continue free access to our web app and build new ways to engage people in healthy practices for their wellbeing.
Over 2025 we want to support 150 in these three areas and are aiming to raise an ambitious £10,000 target through this campaign. We want to ask 500 people to give a £20 donation to do this. Will you join us?

Although we are not a charity, Space to Breathe does welcome and receive donations as part of our work as a Community Interest Company. Sometimes these are linked to a project (e.g. The Remembering resource) or at other times they are a general gift to our work.
We commit to spending 100% of your gift on furthering the work of Space to Breathe and by doing so, enabling a growth and support in people’s wellbeing.
