Since running our GP Access Project in September we’ve had a great response from local people and from decision makers to the work we’ve done.
Partnering between Lived Experience Sheffield, Healthwatch, Chapelgreen Surgery and ourselves we worked on listening to patients experiences in gaining access to mental health support at a surgery and what suggestions might be made for improvement.
You can read more about the project, see the report and recommendations below
New Wellbeing Group at Chapelgreen Surgery
One of the recommendations of the report was to “create other routes to care and reviewing how crisis issues were dealt with” at the Surgery. As a direct outcome of this, we’ve been able to launch a Wellbeing Group starting Monday 15th January at 6pm at Chapelgreen Surgery. You can find more below. The group will be led by Andy Freeman and Tammy Raines from Lived Experience Sheffield and is open to all.
We’re grateful to SOAR and People Keeping Wellbeing for enabling this pilot.
Feature on BBC Radio Sheffield
Great news to start the year is that BBC Radio Sheffield will be doing a feature on the project tomorrow (Thursday 4th Jan) at 7am and 8am in the Breakfast show with Ellie Colton. Why not tune in and listen or use the link below to listen late through BBC Sounds.
