Supporting someone after a Suicide attempt

This information is from our friends at MIND and gives us more details about supporting an individual who’s attempted to complete suicide.

MIND

This video from St John’s explains how to put someone in the Recovery Position. We really recommend someone from your team is trained in Emergency First Aid.

Lastly, always ensure your own safety in any situation and maintain your safety as a priority.

In an emergency always call 999 or advise patient to attend A&E.

You can also use:

  • NHS 111 option 2

  • Samaritans 116 123

  • Shout – text SHOUT to 85258
