Wellbeing Zone FOLLOW UP PAGES

Thanks so much for taking part in our Wellbeing Zone sessions. We hope you found them helpful. Wellbeing Zone’s aim to help you learn self-awareness, mindfulness and stress/anxiety reduction techniques which fit into everyday life.

We know that just running a few sessions won’t change things so wanted to feature a few resources here to enable you to follow up things.

BREATHING MEDITATION

We started with the breathing meditation and the ‘bread and butter’ tool for grounding ourselves and finding a sense of peace and calm. You can download an MP3 here which helps you to practice it or use this video to help you use it again and again.

Being aware of our Body

We used a simple body scan meditation to become aware of our body and where we hold stress. You can try it again here using this video.

Mindfulness techniques

We thought about two types of mindfulness. One was around finding calmness and peace and becoming aware of the present - what we’re feeling and the emotions around us. You can listen again to this meditation below.

We then thought about Mindful Cognitive Therapy, seeing our troubling thoughts like grooves on a record and used the Catch it, Check it, Change it Approach below as well as a way of breaking a problem down.

Breaking a problem down

Changing a large problem into smaller challenges which can be assessed individually.

STRESS

Lastly we thought about Stress and the Stress Container was a simple way of exploring this. You can find this below.
