Supporting Staff Wellbeing in a Trauma Informed School (Copy)

  • Space to Breathe 2nd Floor, SADACCA, 48 Wicker Sheffield S38JB (map)

A free briefing seminar to help senior leaders better understand how to support staff wellbeing in a Trauma Informed School.

About this event

Our children and young people need emotionally available adults more than ever.

In this briefing seminar, Ben Harper from Space to Breathe, will share his understanding of how best to support staff wellbeing so that all staff are able to be more emotionally available to the children and young people in their care.

We will look at the proactive, preventative protection that is needed to promote wellbeing as well as the restorative, reactive, responsive support that helps people to relate, regulate and reflect.

Ben has been supporting staff wellbeing in schools across Sheffield for the last three years, and balances his work with Space to Breathe alongside work in an Alternative Education provision with vulnerable young people. His work is always well received with 95% of people saying they would recommend his wellbeing days, staff meetings and work with senior leadership teams to others. Ben is a qualified primary teacher and has a diploma in coaching.
