It’s been an extraordinary start to the year with so many of us having to adapt to strange and different circumstances during a third lockdown. One group of people who’ve had to cope with a lot of change and uncertainty are our Headteachers.
After Christmas holidays disrupted by plans for mass testing in schools, the new term arrived and then stopped within 24 hours. Schools are still open though - with kids of key workers and those unable to study at home coming in. It’s been an incredibly tough situation to manage.
Here at Space to Breathe we work hard to support the wellbeing of teaching staff. We often notice Headteachers making sacrifices so that their team can benefit from this support. So we wanted to do something to say thank you to Sheffield’s 182 Headteachers.
Our Education Lead, Ben Harper has been making up Wellbeing Boxes for all of Sheffield’s Headteachers which a team of volunteers will be delivering this week.
These boxes are our way of saying thank you for all you’re doing. We hope the space this box creates for your own wellbeing is something that can give you a boost and some support at this tough time.
Would you like to thank a teacher?
If you’d like to say thank you to a teacher you know we have created packs which you can buy at a special low price to give to your local teacher. You can order a Teacher Wellbeing Box via the link below.
Thanks to Sheffield Candle Company and Ferndale Garden Nursery for their support on this project.
