Sleep Meditations

One of the things I’ve found helps me to sleep is having routines and rhythms which feel familiar and help my body to prepare to sleep.

These are things I do to relax - like lowering lighting, having a routine of getting things ready for the next morning and of familiar or comforting sounds, music or audiobooks which help me know it’s time to rest.

We’ve made a couple of meditations below to sample which are between 5 and 10 mins and designed to help your mind, body and emotions prepare for sleep. Why not give them a go.

Safe

I’ve always liked the sound of gentle rain on canvas. It makes me remember times of being under cover, warm and snug whilst outside its raining. The sound makes me feel safe, snug and secure. This meditation uses that sound and allows us to remember the day is done, and we are safe.

Sea

This meditation uses the familiar, rhythmical and relaxing sound of waves on the shore. It uses that sound to allow us to let our worries and fears wash away.
