Can you give £20 to help give people access to wellbeing care?

Since October 2020 we have been working with amazing partners like SADACCA and Sheffield Flourish to help tackle Inequalities in Mental Health. You can see what the Sheffield Star had to say about it below.

This is just one area of access we’ve tried to confront. Far too often people are excluded from opportunities for wellbeing support because of their background, because English isn’t their first language, because of access to digital equipment or through finance. This just isn’t right.

But when we are able to connect people in need with the help they need, it’s wonderful.

Last week I was so thrilled and touched to speak with an individual we've helped through our Tackling Inequalities work. I'll call him Phil. He had been finding life tough and finding it hard to be calm and settled when talking with people about his case. Working with him on grounding techniques and managing his anxiety enabled him to speak more clearly, to get some support and to feel happier about the future. It was really touching to be able to help him.

This individual is one of many who struggle to access wellbeing support. This issue is something that's becoming more and more vital to me as I continue to work with Space to Breathe. Through this year we've given people the chance to give small amounts to help us give opportunities for care to people otherwise excluded due to background, language, finance or circumstance.

Tonight I wanted to ask whether you might consider helping us. If we can find 100 people to give £20 each to this cause we could offer more support, give out more stress tools, teach reflection tools to even more. Would you mind having a think about whether you could spare £20 to help people? Check out the link below.

Space to Breathe is a Community Interest Company, able to receive donations but we do not qualify for Gift Aid like a charity. We will put this funding directly towards supporting access for individuals in the Sheffield area. We will also let you know what happens to your gift and if you’d like, keep you updated on what’s going on. For more info and any questions contact info@spacetobreatheuk.com
