We believe that when school communities thrive, the communities around them thrive too. None of that is possible without the contribution that all staff make.
Thursday 26th May is thank a teacher day; a national initiative to celebrate the work of all those who work in schools and to complement the ‘National Thank a Teacher Day 2022’ resources, we want to celebrate the contribution teachers, teaching assistants, senior leaders, admin staff, catering staff and caretaking staff make to the lives of children and young people’s every day.
The attached postcard and video are designed to encourage staff to stop, recognise and celebrate the contribution they are making. We encourage you to share them across your staff team, not forgetting to take a moment for yourself as well.
The pandemic highlighted how vitally important our schools are to the communities, families, children and young people they serve, and we believe all those involved deserve a great big ‘Thank You’.
