FIVE PILLARS OF WELLBEING
Over time we’ve found that whilst Wellbeing techniques and tools are vitally important to our health and wellbeing, they only work at their best when laid on the foundation of five central pillars of wellbeing.
These are Sleep, Diet, Exercise, Routine and Relationships.
Healthy Sleep gives us a foundation for each day. If we sleep well, we start well and have energy for the day.
Healthy Diet enables us to have the physical fuel for the day. If we eat well we’ll often feel well and can face challenges infront of us.
Exercise stimulates our mind and body and helps us feel good. Whether it’s keeping moving, going for a walk or working out - exercise makes a different to how we feel.
Routine builds structure to our day. Time and again we’ve found building a routine into your day - whether you’re an organised person or not - enables the day to feel more positive, purposeful and manageable.
Lastly, Relationships are key. We don’t build our wellbeing alone but rely on others. This is one of the central ideas in our Wellbeing Triangle - our method of work in all we do.
